Iruya (Argentina) online puzzle
Iruya is a small town situated in northwestern Argentina. The town was founded in the middle of the 18th century, however, the Indian village had existed there a hundred years earlier. The Indian tradition was preserved in the town’s name, which derives from the Quechua language and means “abundance of straw”. Iruya is located on the Altiplano Plateau at the height of almost 3000 meters above the sea level, far from any large roads. Nevertheless, the landscapes and friendly attitude of the local people make the town attractive for tourists who willingly admire the mountainous views as well as the town itself, the buildings of which are somewhat merged into the mountain.
