Dubrovnik (Croatia) online puzzle
Dubrovnik is a Croatian town picturesquely located on the coast of the Adriatic Sea. Stari Grad, i.e. Old Town, is the best known part of Dubrovnik. This historic part of the town is situated on the sea coast. Historical lore indicates that Dubrovnik was founded on a rocky island named Laus, which was connected with the mainland in the 12th century by creating a narrow isthmus. The isthmus is the place where the 300-meter main representative street of the town, named Stradun, is situated today. It is the town’s landmark and a tourist attraction. Dubrovnik may boast the 17th-century complex of fortifications comprising walls, towers and two forts. Within the town’s walls there is the Old Town, which is considered as a historic monument as a whole.
