La Rocca o Guaita fortress (San Marino) online puzzle

San Marino is a small state located on the Mount Titano and it is an enclave surrounded by Italy. La Rocca o Guaita fortress is situated there – it was built in the 11th century but its present form was shaped in the 15th century. It is the most important and best recognizable historic monument of the Republic of San Marino. The pentagonal tower (Italian: Prima Torre) towers over the fortress – it grows straight from the rock and is surrounded by fortified walls. There are two smaller towers nearby and some remnants of other fortifications of San Marino. La Rocca fortress can be visited by tourists – thanks to exhibitions that can be found inside visitors may familiarize themselves with the history of that place and at the same time admire beautiful landscapes that can be seen from the hill.
