The pier on the Zanzibar island leads to the ruins of an old prison. Zanzibar is one of two islands of the Zanzibar Archipelago. The second island is called Pemba. Zanzibar is known for growing spices, seaweeds and raffia (a kind of conifer palm). Fishing is developed very well on Zanzibar as well as tourism, the quality of which gets better and better.
