Agadir is a coastal city located in southern Morocco, known primarily for its beautiful beaches and bustling bazaars. Since the beginning of the 1990s, the city is still under construction, because the earthquake of 1960 almost aligned it with the ground. Nevertheless, you can admire places decorated with fabulously colorful mosaics, which are considered one of the Moroccan showpieces. Geometric patterns of colored enamel tiles are the heritage of the Moors living in these areas. Over time, colorful mosaics, called azulejos, have also become popular in Portugal and Spain.
