Zawisza Czarny is a yacht belonging to the Polish Scouting and Guiding Association. It was built in 1952. The name of the vessel refers to Zawisza Czarny of Grabów (English: Zawisza the Black), Sulima coat of arms, the hero of the Battle of Grunwald. The ship has a figurehead in the shape of a brave knight's head, three masts and ten sails. From the early 1960s Bolesław Romanowski was its first captain. Gdynia is the home port of the vessel. During its decades-long history Zawisza Czarny participated, among others, in the rescue operation near Bermuda, sailed around the globe, took part in regattas and participated in numerous cruises for young people, including those with disabilities and socially excluded.
