Floating market in Bangkok (Thailand) online puzzle
Bangkok is frequently called Venice of the East – it owes this name to numerous canals, which cut through the city. Water infrastructure has contributed to development of so called floating markets. In the past, before the overland routes were established, these canals had been the main way of exchanging goods. Today, mostly due to mass tourism, floating markets experience their revival. In colorful “alleys” one may purchase everything: from fruits and vegetables to hats and jewelry. Almost all hotels from the neighborhood organize trips so that tourists could have a taste of the floating markets.
