Pizza is probably the most popular dish in the world and one of the few that is served in the specialized catering facilities – the so-called pizzerias. Nevertheless, it can be also found in menus of restaurants other dishes. Original pizza obviously comes from Italy, however, dishes prepared in a similar way, i.e. pies baked with various additives, were known in antiquity. Pizza comes in many varieties, which differ in the thickness of dough as well as the amount and type of ingredients used. The most classic version of this dish is served in Naples. Since 2009 it has been a recognized regional product and can be prepared only in the traditional way, with the use of certain specific ingredients – flour, tomatoes, mozzarella and even salt have to be regional products and come from the vicinity of Naples.
