Green tomatoes taste best when they are fried or as a component of jam. Some of their varieties, apart from the unique color – which does not necessarily mean that the tomato is unripe - also have stripes, which is why they are called tiger tomatoes. Sweet black or chocolate tomatoes are also noteworthy, they are distinguished by a violet-brown peel. Cherry tomatoes also have various colors, they are small, quite hard and have a distinctive taste, they are ideal for a summer salad. In addition to the unusual color, tomatoes can also differ significantly in shape, such as large, fleshy beefsteak tomatoes.
